A brief sum up

Lyllianna's 2nd birthday was a hit! We got a princess bounce house and a snow-cone machine, as well as our face painter from the first year! She had so much fun!

We found out in November that we were expecting another baby. We were hoping for a boy, but God blessed us with another girl! Her name is Abrielle Jayne. She looks just like her sister!

We went to the polar express in 09 and 10. Lylli didn't know much about it the first year we went, but in '10 she got scared going through the "tunnel" because it was so loud (they had everyone scream and clap). Hopefully this Nov. '11 she'll have fun!

Halloweens have been full of activities and candy. Lylli's first halloween she was a cute little flower. Her second Halloween she was a rennacance princess. This year she was Cinderella, and Abrielle was a little Devilina. They were both so cute. We went to a couple parties at friends' houses, and we went to Tolmochof Farms to go through the corn maze and pic out pumpkins as well as ride the 4wheeler train. Lylli had a ton of fun, Abrielle decided to sleep the whole time we were there.

Throughout the years we've been to California to the beaches. We went with my mom (grandma) for her soccer tournaments. We played at the park and even went to the mall.

Hopefully we've got most of it. LOL. Hopefully during naptimes we can start updating this a little more for those few that follow us!

I will add pictures to this post soon.

Bragging about Lyllianna

Lyllianna is currently 23months. Her birthday is next month and we're sooo excited! Her first year was amazing! She was the best baby anyone could ask for. Very smart and hit her "milestones" early. We never did record exactly when any of her milestones happened. We might have them in her babybook. She started walking about 10days before her first birthday, and after that she was on the go! She's learning her ABC's and Numbers. She loves to point out colors, and loves animals. Her new fascination is with our bearded dragon whom we've named Blaze. She loves the water, and is so independant now, that we have to be very careful what we teach her. She has a wide vocabulary and amazes us everyday with new phrases and words we didn't even know she knew!

April 15, 2009

On August 20, 2008 we found out that we were pregnant!! We were not expecting this, so it came to us as a surprise. We do not believe any gift from God is an "oops".  We began to think of how we were going to make our lives better, so we decided to move back from CO. Just in time too. Ambyre's dad became very ill and we're so happy we were able to be with him for the last few weeks of his life. He passed away on Thomas' birthday, December 3, 2008. We miss him dearly, but we know he's in a better place.

Lyllianna Rhea was born at St. Joseph's hospital at 7:28AM weighing 6lbs 5.4oz, and 18.5inches long. Her blood sugar was low, so she had to go to the nursery for a few hours until her sugar levels came up. Ambyre was stuck in the first stage of labor for just over 2weeks!! Finally she had had enough and just as we got admitted into our room, her water broke! She was in active labor for 18 hours, and then pushed for about 45mins. Then we welcomed little Lyllianna to the world!!! She was so small and fragile, we couldn't believe she was here!! She was a great baby! Hardly ever cried, slept alot, and smiled often. It was very easy to please her. She wasn't much, nor is now either a cuddler. She likes her space and independence..

Below are pictures of Ambyre's dad, and of our baby girl when she was born!!

June 14th, 2008

Working up to this date was such a headache for us. If anyone had told us it would be a nightmare, we wouldn't have done it. We would have just sent out invitations to vegas, and done it there. But we both wanted the experience, so we decided to just take it with a grain of salt. We went to a bridal expo, and picked out our bridesmaid dresses. We picked out the perfect pool blue color. When they came in, they were the wrong color!!! Not pool blue, but periwinkle!! that's like a purple!! I tried so hard not to turn into a bridezilla. They wouldn't let us return them, or exchange them, so we just had to deal with it. It kept bugging Thomas, so he went to the BBB website and found out that this company had lots of bad reviews.. He added one of his own, and we wished we wouldn't have jumped on such a "great deal" so fast and should have just kept looking. So, a majority of my bridesmaids had the same dress. My maid of honor got one herself, it was the perfect blue we wanted, just a little darker and a little more revealing in the back, but she could pull it off. So I didn't mind. My Jr bridesmaid's dress was a nightmare to find as well. But we found one. We also had issues with our flower girl dresses. they ended up being the wrong color sash and flowers. Instead of waisting them, we just gave them to our flowergirls for another occasion and got them some new ones from a different store.. We had very bad luck with dresses. AND groomsmen suites and even Thomas' suite!! But in the end we got everything figured out, and we had a beautiful wedding.

We had a traditional Catholic wedding, with just about a hundred guests, though most of them left before the reception. I don't really blame them as it was scortching hot! If I recall correctly it was probably about 115degrees outside for the 4th day in a row.. Don't quote me, I'm not for sure. I wore my mom's dress, my dad walked, well more or less rolled me down the isle. Since my dad didn't dance, I had my first dance with my grandfather. When it was time to arrive at the reception, Thomas and I came in singing "from this moment" It was perfect!! If we could do anything over again, it would be just the attire choices and places we chose to get them.. That's about all we'd change.. We can't wait to do it all over again when we renew our vows in about 8years from now. It'll be our 10th wedding anniversary.

We're even more in love as we were when we got married. Our love and bond continues to grow each day.

How we met

Ambyre was a barista at a Starbucks inside a Target. Thomas was the Fire Inspector of Sierra Vista. He came in everyday to get the same drink. Niether one noticed each other at first. Ambyre decided to do some homework on her break at one of the tables. Thomas came in to get his usual drink, and Ambyre had noticed he was coming so she had already jumped back behind the bar to make him his drink. Thomas was very greatful for this as he was kind of in a hurry. He paid for his drink and headed out the door not checking to make sure it was the correct drink. He came back the next day and asked Ambyre what she had made him as it was the most delicious thing he's ever had. Ambyre told him what it was, and that became his new drink. They became casual friends, and only really talked when Thomas came to get his beverage. A few times, Ambyre was able to talk him into trying a new concoction she had come up with.

One night, after Ambyre's shift, she decided to just sit and do some homework for a while. Then out of nowhere, Thomas grabbed a seat and just started talking to her about what she was studying and what he did. I can't say it was love at first sight. But there was a bit of a spark. Thomas asked for a date, and Ambyre couldn't turn it down. He made her some grilled chicken breast, with rice and steamed veggies. After dinner they decided to watch a movie and chill on the couch with a glass of wine. After the movie, they went outside to star gaze and share their ambitions and life. It was so easy to talk to one another. From that night on, they were nearly inseperable.

About three months later, Thomas proposed to Ambyre "Ambyre, i don't know your middle name Glittenberg.. will you marry me?" Ambyre kinda giggled because she knew she had told him her middle name, but then again, maybe that had slipped her mind. But she told him her middle name, and said of course. They Set the date of their wedding for June 14 of 2008.
